Sunday August 3rd Our party of 4 stopped for lunch at the Hammer & Nail Restaurant in Barton City Michigan. As you walk in you immediately notice that it has a clean and bright friendly atmosphere. We were welcomed in by a very nice woman who it turns out is the owner. We were seated quickly, and proceeded to order. After a very short wait our meals were brought out. All 4 looked very well prepared and we all enjoyed a great lunch. The breakfast and lunch menus both had delicious looking daily options as well as specials. I highly recommend giving the Hammer & Nail a try!

Such an adorable little restaurant!! Service was great.Brooklyn was very attentive and helpful. Even asked the cook to make me stuffed French toast that I heard so much about. ( it wasn’t on the menu) Everything we ordered was delicious! Friendly warm atmosphere.

We enjoyed an excellent Friday dinner at the Hammer and Nail restaurant and just an outstanding experience! My wife had the cod dinner, started with a creamy coleslaw with enough for 2, chose the beer battered but they have other options too. Light batter, just the right texture with a delicious light crisp finish, real bake potato and soft buttery garlic roll. I had the chicken tender basket and “tender” being the optimal word - they hand dip the chicken and a light golden brown with excellent portions and outstanding flavor - leftovers for later. You will disappoint yourself if you don’t give this place a try as the service was friendly, attentive but not over bearing and a delightful atmosphere!

Ordered 2 pizzas on Saturday night. Took a little extra time because they are so popular, but worth the wait! Maui Wowwi was very tasty. The other was just cheese, but equally good. We will definitely order again. Side Note: No pizzas on Fridays due to their Fish Fry Night. But the Fish is delicious.

Decided to go here for breakfast after deer hunting. Their food looks and tastes just as good as all their Facebook photos show. What really stood out to me was the effort that shows in the small details, from the interior design to the plating to the small modern clipboard your check is given on. It can be hit or miss with small restaurants in rural areas, but our visit felt felt nice and clean and the decorating made it feel surprisingly upscale, but also comfortable and welcoming. The service was outstanding, super friendly staff. We will definitely be back!
